So first off, the leaves are changing and an incredible and beautiful rate. it is truly amazing. although one weird thing is that some trees seem to turn into a collage of pastel colored leaves and all i can think is that they seem a bit out of place since it is not easter. kind of weird.
second, i was hiking in a local state park this morning, actually scouting out a backpacking trip, when i saw a freaking bear!!!! it was about 100ft in front of me on the trail and had a big ol' butt.
i also had a huge urge to hug it because it looked so soft but i did not. nor did it give me the chance to as it ran off.
and finally, i have decided to do something that none that would ever happen, especially meagan. i am going to write a book. yes that is right...a book. i am going to turn an unfortunate situation into a fantastic experiment. as so may not know, all of my food is provided to me at the audubon center. however all of this food is from sysco...and i do mean all of it and cooking most of the meals is really like using industrial microwaves. even the fried rice comes in a pressure sealed bag. anyways i am going to do the opposite of barbara kingsolver, live on food from withing 100 miles, and live on sysco product for the next 8 months. of course im not going to just live but i am going to interviews delivery people, company reps, etc. to give you an over all picture. maybe i will even dabble into the nutritional content of food. i think that this could be huge and i want to hear your opinions about the idea. there is promise in this one, i really think so. anyways i am 24 and will start returning peoples calls tonight, sorry that i missed alot of them and i love you all.
